Furnace - gas- Brooks Heating & Handyman Service 519-773-6006 - Rob Brooks installed 2 gas furnaces for me in the summer of 2008. Both included the removal of an existing oil tank and furnace. In the one house he also had to remove the old hot water radiators and install new ductwork for the forced air gas furnace system. We are pleased with his work and recommend his service. Furnace - geothermal - Koolen Electric 519-773-8951 - We had Koolen Electric install our Geothermal system back in 1989 when our home was constructed. Although it is more costly than your traditional forced air electric or gas furnace to install, it does pay for itself in hydro consumption over time. Chuck has completed many rooms for us. We have always been pleased with the finished product, the speed with which the job is completed and his professionalism. Both were completed in good time, even through some very cold (November) weather. Job site was thoroughly cleaned each evening. The copper water lines in the house were slowly becoming clogged with lime build-up and plumbers in the area indicated there was nothing that could be done to clean out the pipes. All recommended your traditional salt water water conditioner. Pricing of an appropriate system worked out to approximately $3000. After considerable research on electronic water conditioners, I purchased the Scalewatcher 3 model for just under $500. We were able to install it easily ourselves.
